Pioneer Life

Pioneer Life is a monthly lunchtime program in which participants learn how things were done in the pioneer days. Local artisans demonstrate crafts such as knife-making, basket-weaving, quilting, spinning and soap-making.

Advanced Planning

Pioneer Life is part of a Lunch ‘n Learn series and is held the first Thursday of each month. Presentations are held from 12 to 1 p.m.; attendees are encouraged to bring their lunch and learn.

Marketing

Fliers are printed with five months' of presentations listed. Our display case features the craft that will be presented. The program is listed on our library website and Facebook page and is highlignted in the local newspaper and email newsletter.

Budgeting

Bottles of water are provided for the presenter and audience.

Day-of-event Activity

Tables are covered with plastic tablecloths and chairs are set up beforehand. Set-up takes about 20 minutes.

Program Execution

Our average attendance is 15 to 20.
