The Randolph County Public Library was created in 1940 and today we have over a half-million visits each year, with over a half-million items checked out. Our county is rural, with 75 percent of the population living outside of municipalities. While there are seven libraries in the county, three are mostly county-funded and the other four are funded primarily by their city or town. Randolph County is a certified retirement community without public transportation and it is home to a significant Hispanic population.
