Auckland Central City Library serves a diverse community of inner city dwellers, commuters, university students, families, tourists, rough sleepers (i.e. people experiencing homelessness) and colleagues from a range of socioeconomic backgrounds and cultures. We are Auckland’s destination library because of our innovative events, rich collections, far-reaching community focus and international heritage collections. We are a large library covering three public floors with two basement levels below. We have a makerspace with a bookable sewing machine and equipment that can be used by the community throughout the week.
