The University Library is a dynamic and innovative partner in the Sonoma State University community. Service priorities at the University Library include instruction, research assistance, collection development, and engaging programming and events. As part of the broader California State University (CSU) system, the University Library at Sonoma State serves a mid-sized, liberal arts college campus composed of 9,408 students. This student body is predominantly undergraduate (91%), boasts a significant Hispanic (28%) and first-generation (24%) population, and serves 3,100 residential students (33%). In 2017-2018, the University Library saw more than 420,000 walk-ins, peaking during 24/7 “Dead Week” and finals hours.
