Ferndale Area District Library serves an inner-ring suburban population just north of Detroit. FADL is the only library in Ferndale.  Though our city’s population is about 20,000, we serve patrons from all over Metro Detroit through our participation in The Library Network, a 75-member library consortium. We have enthusiastic participation in our music, arts, and DIY programming. This program is part of our Hygge Winter Away series, which has given patrons ways to enhance their well-being in the cold Michigan winter months. Other programs in the series include Cocktail & Mocktail making, Crafting a Luminary, and Houseplant Care.
