Located in the city of Shelton in southwest Connecticut, the Huntington Branch Library is one of two libraries in the Shelton Library System. The system has 15,000 registered borrowers. Of these, 5,000 belong to the Huntington Branch. The branch is staffed by four full-time librarians and nine assistants and pages. Despite being in the busy community center, Huntington's family services librarian had to work at attracting families to the library since there was not a dedicated children's or teen librarian for over a year before January 2015.
