The ten communities across central Oklahoma that make up the Pioneer Library System (PLS) are all unique but are united under one library system. Working together, our libraries strive to meet the collective needs of our communities in keeping with our mission of inspiring innovation, engagement and learning. With just under 300 staff members, Pioneer connects more than 350,000 residents in Cleveland, McClain and Pottawatomie counties to resources, services and programs. Our print and digital collections are checked out over two million times per year by people of all ages. Over the years PLS has gained national recognition for their work developing, promoting and executing system-wide programs aimed at vulnerable populations.
