The service area of the Prince George Public Library (PGPL) is a dynamic community of over 80,000 and is centered in the city of Prince George, which is less than an hour by air north of Vancouver. The Prince George Public Library has two branches, employs a dedicated staff of over 60 people, has an annual budget of 3.5 million and serves an average of 1,100 patrons a day.
